1. Driver
The District & Sessions Judge, Bongaigaon has announced 01 vacancy for Driver. The post is Unreserved
Pay Scale: ₹14,000 – ₹70,000/- + Grade Pay of ₹5,200/- under Pay Band-II, along with other allowances admissible under the rules.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed at least H.S.L.C. examination.
Driving Licence: The candidate must possess a valid LMV Driving Licence issued by the competent authority.
Age Limit: The age limit for the Driver post is 18 to 40 years as on 01 January 2026. Upper age relaxation will be applicable as per existing Government guidelines.
2. Peon
There is 01 permanent vacancy for Peon, reserved for ST(P) candidates.
Pay Scale: ₹12,000 – ₹52,000/- + Grade Pay of ₹3,900/- under Pay Band-I, along with other allowances admissible under the rules.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed Class VIII. ( Candidates who have passed HSSLC or above are not eligible for the Peon post. )
Age Limit: Candidates must be 18 to 45 years of age as on 01 January 2026.
1. Applicants must be Indian citizens as defined under Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.
2. Candidates applying for either post must have their names registered with the Employment Exchange of Assam. The Employment Exchange Registration Number along with the registration date must be mentioned in the application.
3. Candidates who are already working in Government service must apply through the proper channel and submit an NOC from their employer.
4. Applicants should provide their mobile number and email address in the application form.
Candidates are required to submit self-attested photocopies of relevant documents, including:

Selection Process
1. Driver
1. Eligible candidates for the Driver post will have to appear in a Skill Test and Viva-Voce.
2. The accepted and rejected candidate lists, along with information regarding the skill test and viva-voce, will be published on the official website of Bongaigaon District Judiciary. No individual call letter/admit card will be sent.
2. Peon
1. Eligible candidates for the Peon post will have to appear for an Interview/Viva-Voce.
2. The final selection for the Peon post will be made on the basis of the marks obtained in the Interview/Viva-Voce only. No individual call letter/admit card will be sent; the list of eligible candidates will be uploaded on the official website.
( Note: Candidates appearing for the selection process will not be entitled to TA/DA.)

1. Candidates should carefully provide correct information in the application. Suppression of educational qualifications or submission of incorrect information may result in cancellation of candidature and possible legal action.
2. Candidates are also required to submit a Declaration in Form-A under Rule 5(1) of the Assam Public Services (Application of Small Family Norms in Direct Recruitment) Rules, 2019.
3. A candidate who has entered into a marriage with a person having a living spouse, or who has a living spouse and contracts another marriage, will not be eligible for appointment to the respective post.
