Specialist Architect: 2 Posts
Salary: Up to ₹1,20,000 per month
Senior GIS Expert: 2 Posts
Salary: Up to ₹1,00,000 per month
GIS Assistant: 4 Posts
Salary: Up to ₹75,000 per month

Eligibility Criteria for Town & Country Planning Assam Recruitment
Educational Qualification:
Candidates must have:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, and
• Master’s Degree in Urban Design / Landscape Architecture / Architecture or equivalent from a recognized university.
Work Experience:
Applicants should have minimum 12 years of relevant experience in:
• Architectural design and construction drawings
• Knowledge of building bye-laws and planning regulations
• Urban design projects such as street or junction design
• Landscaping projects including parks and neighbourhood gardens
Preferred Experience:
Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in:
• Urban park development projects
• Blue-green infrastructure projects
• Affordable housing projects
• Street and junction design projects
• Leading at least two urban development projects as Project Lead or Team Leader
Note: Knowledge of Assam’s urban planning policies like Unified Building Bye-laws, TDR, TPS, LAP, and ToD will be an advantage.
Age Limit: Not more than 40 years (as on 1 January 2026)
Educational Qualification:
Candidates must have one of the following qualifications:
• M.Sc / M.Tech / MA in GIS / Geography / Remote Sensing / Geo Informatics / Geomatics, OR
• B.Plan / M.Plan with GIS and Remote Sensing as a subject
Note: Additional certification or diploma in GIS / Remote Sensing software will be considered an advantage.
Work Experience:
Applicants should have at least 10 years of experience in GIS spatial analysis and related work such as:
• GIS mapping and image processing
• Development of GIS-based databases and spatial data systems
• GIS work related to urban planning projects
• Drone data collection and geospatial data processing
• Development or management of GIS-based portals, websites, or applications
Note: Experience in DGPS data processing and geospatial techniques will be an added advantage.
Age Limit: Not more than 38 years
Educational Qualification:
Candidates must possess:
• M.Sc / M.Tech / MA in Remote Sensing & GIS / Geo Informatics / Geomatics / Geography, OR
• B.Plan / M.Plan with GIS and Remote Sensing as a subject
Note: Preference will be given to candidates with additional certification in GIS or Remote Sensing software.
Work Experience & Skills:
Applicants should have experience in:
• GIS digitization and mapping
• Data collection and cleaning
• Feature extraction from drone or satellite imagery
• Vector and raster data analysis
• GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, Global Mapper
• AutoCAD and field data collection work
