DEE Assam LP & UP Teacher 2nd Merit List 2026 Released – Check Cut Off & Merit List

The Directorate of Elementary Education (DEE), Assam has officially announced that the 2nd Provisional Merit List for the recruitment of Lower Primary (LP) and Upper Primary (UP) Teachers will be published on 02 March 2026. Candidates who applied for the teacher recruitment under Advertisement No. E-573006/28 and E-573006/32 dated 08 January 2025 can now check their merit status through the official website of DEE Assam. Along with the merit list, the department has also released district-wise and category-wise cut-off marks for the reference of applicants.

Important Instructions for Candidates

• Candidates are advised to carefully read the following instructions issued by DEE Assam:

• The 2nd Provisional Merit List and cut-off marks are available on the official website of DEE Assam.

• All other terms and conditions mentioned in the earlier notice dated 19 February 2026 will remain unchanged.

• Candidates whose application status is marked as “WITHHELD” must appear for verification as per the schedule mentioned below.

• Applicants who have scored above the cut-off marks but do not find their name in the provisional merit list may also attend the grievance clarification process.

Important Notice for Candidates Selected in Multiple Posts

Candidates who have been selected in multiple posts must choose their post preference option online through the official website.

• The preference must be submitted on or before 05 March 2026 (05:00 PM).

• If a candidate fails to choose any option within the deadline, one Application ID will be randomly selected and the remaining IDs will be removed during the next provisional or final selection process.

• This provisional merit list will be automatically cancelled once the next provisional merit list or the final selection list is published.

Follow these simple steps to check your result:

1. Visit the official website of DEE Assam.

2. Go to the  Recruitment in 4500 Posts of Teachers

3. Click on “Check the 2nd Provisional Merit against Advt dated 08/01/2025”.

4. Enter your Application ID or Password 

5. Download the PDF file.

6. Search your Application ID or Name in the list.

What This Merit List Means for Candidates

• The release of the 2nd provisional merit list is an important step in the teacher recruitment process. Candidates whose names appear in the list are provisionally shortlisted for the next stage of verification and final selection. However, this list is not the final selection list.

• Applicants are advised to carefully check their application ID, category, and district details in the merit list. If there is any discrepancy or if a candidate has higher marks but their name is missing, they should attend the grievance clarification session as scheduled by DEE Assam.

Why Name May Not Appear in Merit List?

Sometimes candidates who have good marks may not find their name in the provisional merit list. Some possible reasons include:

• Application data mismatch

• Category or district selection error

• Document verification pending

• Technical issues during merit preparation

• Application marked under clarification or withheld category

What Happens After the Provisional Merit List?

After the provisional merit list and grievance verification process, the Directorate of Elementary Education will release the next provisional or final selection list.
