Age Relaxation:
Ex-Servicemen, PwBD, Railway staff, and widows/divorced women are eligible for additional relaxation as per RRB rules.
The age will be calculated based on 01 January 2026 (i.e., candidates born between 02.01.1993 and 01.01.2008 for UR can apply).

Selection Process:
The selection process for RRB JE/DMS/CMA 2025 will be carried out in multiple stages to ensure fair and transparent recruitment. The steps are as follows:
1. Computer Based Test (CBT – Stage 1)
This is the first screening test for all eligible candidates.
It will include objective-type multiple-choice questions from subjects like Mathematics, General Awareness, General Science, and Reasoning.
The total duration will be 90 minutes.
Negative marking: 1/3 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
2. Computer Based Test (CBT – Stage 2)
Candidates shortlisted from CBT-1 will be called for CBT-2.
This exam focuses on technical subjects relevant to the post (Engineering/Science discipline).
It also includes General Awareness and Basics of Computer Applications.
Duration: 120 minutes with negative marking of 1/3 mark per wrong answer.
3. Document Verification (DV)
Candidates who qualify in both CBTs will be invited for document verification.
All original certificates, mark sheets, caste certificates (if applicable), and identity proofs must be produced.
5. Medical Examination
Finally, candidates will undergo a medical fitness test as per Indian Railway standards before final appointment.
Final Selection:
The final merit list will be based on performance in CBT-2, subject to document verification and medical fitness.
Appointment will be made under the respective Railway Zones / Production Units based on the candidate’s RRB preference and merit.
Other Eligibility Criteria:
Besides educational qualification and age, candidates must also satisfy the following conditions to be eligible for RRB JE/DMS/CMA Recruitment 2025:
Nationality / Citizenship:
Candidates must be either:
1. A citizen of India, or
2. A subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or
3. A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
4. A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or East African countries (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam) with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Note: Candidates belonging to categories (2)–(4) must have a valid Certificate of Eligibility issued by the Government of India.
Medical Standards:
Candidates must meet the medical fitness criteria prescribed for the respective posts.
Medical standards range from A3 to C1, depending on the post (as per Annexure–A of the official notification).
Visual and physical standards are compulsory for final appointment.
Candidates failing the medical test will not be considered, even if they have cleared all other stages.
Language Proficiency:
Candidates must be able to read, write, and speak in the official language of the Railway region they are applying for.
They may be required to submit a language proficiency certificate during document verification.
Character and Conduct:
Applicants must have good moral character and must not have been involved in any criminal activity.
Any suppression of information regarding criminal cases may lead to disqualification.
Servicing Employees / Government Staff:
Railway or government employees applying for this recruitment must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their current employer during document verification.
