Selected candidates will receive:
• Pay Scale: ₹57,700 – ₹1,82,400 per month
• Academic Level-10
• Other Government allowances as admissible under Assam Government Rules.
Eligibility Criteria & Vacancy Details
Educational Qualification:
Candidates must possess the required postgraduate medical qualifications recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC), National Board of Education (NBE) or Dental Council of India, depending on the discipline.
Broad Specialty:
Applicants should possess:
• MD
• MS
• DNB
• MDS
in the concerned subject from a recognized institution. Certain departments such as Anatomy, Biochemistry and Physiology also require qualifications like MSc (Medical) with PhD as per the latest NMC guidelines.
Super Specialty:
Candidates should possess:
• MD/DNB in General Medicine for Medical Super Specialties.
• MS/DNB in General Surgery for Surgical Super Specialties.
( Note: Preference will be given to candidates holding DM, M.Ch., or DNB Super Specialty qualifications. )
Age Limit: Candidates should satisfy the following age criteria as on 01 January 2026
• Minimum Age: 21 Years
• Maximum Age: 45 Years
Age Relaxation: PwD Candidates: 10 years relaxation as per Government rules.

The following candidates are eligible to apply for MHRB Assam Recruitment 2026, provided they meet all the eligibility conditions mentioned in the official notification:
• Indian citizens as defined under Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.
