1. Understand the Basics First
Start by revising the core subjects from your ITI/Diploma syllabus. If you are from the Electrician trade, focus on topics like electrical circuits, Ohm’s Law, transformers, switchgear, earthing systems, DG set operation, and safety standards. Strong fundamentals will help you solve both objective and practical-based questions confidently.
2. Revise Practical Knowledge
This post involves real-time technical work. Make sure you understand:
• Electrical substation operations
• Preventive maintenance procedures
• Fault identification and troubleshooting
• Safety measures while handling electrical equipment
Questions may be situation-based, so practical clarity is important.
3. Practice Previous-Level Questions
Even if the exact previous paper is not available, practice ITI-level technical MCQs. Focus on accuracy and time management. Try solving mock tests within a fixed time to improve speed.
4. Prepare Computer Basics

• Basic MS Office (Word, Excel)
• Internet and email usage
• Basic hardware/software concepts
Simple computer awareness questions may be included.
5. Stay Updated & Organized
Keep your documents ready and regularly check the official website for exam pattern updates. Maintain a daily study schedule of at least 1–2 hours. Consistency matters more than long study sessions.
6. Final Advice
Don't rely solely on theory. Combine conceptual revision with practical understanding. If you revise regularly and smartly, qualifying the written test becomes much easier.
