The Indian Army Technical Entry Scheme (TES-55) 2025 invites applications from unmarried male candidates who have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with at least 60% marks and have appeared in JEE Mains 2025. This course offers a chance to become a Permanent Commissioned Officer in the Indian Army. The course will commence in July 2026, and online applications are open from 14 October to 13 November 2025.

Indian Army TES-55 Course 2025 Eligibility Criteria:


Nationality:

Unmarried male candidates who are:

Citizens of India, or

Subjects of Nepal, or

Persons of Indian origin migrated from select countries with intent to settle permanently in India.


Age Limit:

Candidates must be between 16½ and 19½ years as of 01 July 2026.

(Should be born between 02 January 2007 and 01 January 2010, both dates inclusive)


Educational Qualification:

Must have passed 10+2 (Intermediate) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) subjects.

Must have obtained minimum 60% aggregate marks in PCM.

Must have appeared in JEE (Mains) 2025 examination (compulsory).



Selection Process:

Shortlisting of Applications (based on JEE Mains 2025 rank and PCM % marks)

SSB Interview (February–March 2026)

Medical Examination (for medically fit candidates only)

Final Merit List (based on SSB performance)

Joining Letter issued for training at IMA, Dehradun



Pay Scale & Allowances:

During Training: ₹56,100/- per month (at IMA)

After Commissioning: Lieutenant Rank

Pay Level: Level 10 (₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500)

CTC: Approx ₹17–18 Lakh per annum

Military Service Pay (MSP): ₹15,500/- per month

Other Benefits: Free Medical Cover, Travel Allowance, and other military allowances as per rules

1. Candidates must apply online through the official website –

3. Fill out the online application form carefully with accurate personal, educational, and contact details.

4. Review the application before final submission. You can edit details only before the closing date.

5. After successful submission, a confirmation page with your application number will appear.

6. Print two copies of the application form for future reference. One copy (self-attested) must be carried to the SSB interview along with the following documents:

10th and 12th mark sheets & certificates

JEE (Mains) 2025 scorecard

Valid photo ID proof (Aadhaar, Passport, etc.)

Passport-size photographs

7. No hard copy of the application needs to be sent by post to the Directorate General of Recruiting.

What is TES-55?
TES-55 is the Indian Army’s 10+2 Technical Entry Scheme for commissioning as a Permanent Commissioned Officer after 4 years of training (3 years at CTW + 1 year at IMA).
Who can apply?
Unmarried male candidates who passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and have appeared in JEE (Mains) 2025. Minimum PCM aggregate required: 60%.

What is the training and degree awarded?
Total training: 4 years (CTW Pune/Mhow/Secunderabad + IMA Dehradun). On successful completion, candidates are awarded an Engineering degree and commissioned as Lieutenant.

Stipend during training at IMA: ₹56,100/month. After commissioning (Lt): Pay Level 10 (₹56,100–₹1,77,500) + MSP ₹15,500/month; approx CTC ₹17–18 lakh/year (excluding free medical cover & annual hometown travel).
When and how to apply?

Which documents are required at SSB?
Two printouts of the online application, original & copies of Class 10 & 12 certificates/marksheets, JEE (Mains) 2025 scorecard, valid photo ID, and passport-size photographs (as specified).
Is JEE (Mains) mandatory?
Yes. Appearing in JEE (Mains) 2025 is compulsory for TES-55 eligibility.
Cut-off and SSB schedule?
Cut-off publication is tentatively in the third week of Nov 2025. SSBs are likely Feb–Mar 2026 (date selection window opens for two weeks in Jan 2026).
