The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB), Division-II (formerly AHSEC), has officially released the schedule for the 2026 Higher Secondary (HS) final exams. Students of all three streams – Arts, Science, and Commerce – can now check the complete date-wise schedule and begin their final studies with clarity and confidence. HS final exams will begin on February 11, 2026, and will continue until March 16, 2026, and practical exams are scheduled from January 27, 2026, to February 7, 2026, at the respective institutions.
Assam HS Final Exam Routine 2026 (Time & Shifts)
The examination will be held in two shifts:
Morning Shift: 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon
Afternoon Shift: 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM
Note: Some subjects of 30/50/60 marks will have reduced duration (9:00–11:00 AM or 1:30–3:30 PM).
Important Points
#An additional 10 minutes will be given to read the question paper before each shift.
#MIL subjects include Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Garo, Hmar, Hindi, Khasi, Manipuri, Mizo, Nepali, Urdu, and Karbi.
#Music Groups A, B, and C include separate vocal, dance, and instrumental papers.
#NSQF subjects include IT-ITeS, retail, agriculture, automotive, private security, electronics, banking and finance, tourism and hospitality, physical education, and more.
#Practical exams will begin on January 27 and continue until February 7, 2026.
