Pay Scale (Salary)
Pay Band (PB1) : ₹12,000 – ₹52,000 per month
Educational Qualification
Minimum Qualification: Class VIII (8th Standard) passed
Maximum Qualification: HSSLC (Class 12) passed
Note: Candidates having qualifications higher than HSSLC are not eligible to apply.
Nationality & Domicile
The candidate must be an Indian Citizen as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.
The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam.
A permanent residence certificate issued by a competent authority in Assam is mandatory.
Age Limit (as on 01-01-2025)
Minimum Age: 18 years
Maximum Age: 40 years
Age Relaxation (Category-wise)
OBC/MOBC: 3 years (i.e., up to 43 years)
SC/ST (P)/ST (H): 5 years (i.e., up to 45 years)

Application Fee
ALL categories have to pay only ₹47.20 (processing fee), and there is no application fee separately.
Additional Eligibility Conditions
Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD):
Candidates with at least 40% disability are eligible for reservation.
Disability certificate issued by the competent authority must be produced.
Government Employees:
Candidates already employed under Government of Assam / Government of India or any PSU must apply through proper channel.
They must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer at the time of document verification.
Small Family Norms:
As per Govt. Notification No. ABP.69/2019/17 dated 6th November 2019, candidates must comply with the “Small Family Norms” to be eligible for appointment.
A declaration in this regard needs to be submitted at the time of application.
The selection process will be conducted in two stages:
Stage 1: Written Examination (Screening Test – OMR based, MCQ type)
The exam will consist of 100 marks and duration will be 2 hours.
Subjects & Marks Distribution:
Arithmetic – 20 marks
General Knowledge (with special reference to Assam) – 20 marks
Reasoning – 20 marks
Social Science – 20 marks
Science – 10 marks
Elementary English – 10 marks
Total: 100 marks | Duration: 2 hours
Stage 2: Viva / Oral Interview
Candidates shortlisted in Stage 1 will be called for the Viva (Interview).
The ratio of candidates called for interview will be 1:5 against the number of vacancies.
